Does merging reduce the quality?
No. The pages are copied as they are — the same fonts, the same images, the same vector drawings, at the same resolution. Nothing is re-encoded, so a merged document looks exactly like its sources placed end to end.

What this tool does, exactly
- What it does
- Copies the pages of each document into a new one, in your order, carrying each page's fonts, images and annotations with it. The pages themselves are untouched: nothing is re-drawn, re-compressed or rasterised, so a merged file is as sharp as its sources.
- What it drops
- Every scrap of provenance. The merged document has no title, author, producer, creation date or modification date — not even from the first file. A bundle that quietly inherits one source's author is a small privacy leak nobody asked for.
- Page ranges
- Each file can contribute a range instead of all of it: write 2-5 beside a document and only those pages are taken. Leave it empty and the whole file goes in. That makes “pages 2 to 5 of the contract, then all of the appendix” one operation rather than a split followed by a merge.
- Where it stops
- A password-protected source cannot be read, and the tool says which file it was rather than failing vaguely. Open it, save an unlocked copy, and add that instead.
About this tool
Can I take only some pages from a file?
Yes. Every document in the list has an optional page range beside it. Write 2-5, or 1-3, 8, and only those pages are taken from that file; leave it empty and the whole document is used.
Will the merged file carry my name or the original titles?
No. The new document is created empty and the pages are copied into it, so no title, author, producer or timestamp comes across from any source. If you want a title on the result, add one in whatever you open it with.
One of my files is refused. Why?
Because it is encrypted. A PDF with a password cannot be read without it, by this tool or any other. The message names the file so you know which one to unlock; open it in a reader, save an unprotected copy, and add that.
Is there a limit on how many files?
Only your device's memory. Everything happens in this browser tab, so a hundred small documents are fine and a handful of very large scans may not be. There is no server-side limit because there is no server.
