A real route to a person
Bug reports and questions are welcome. Documents are not.
Please do not attach the document you were working on, and do not paste text from it. Describe what happened instead — how many pages, what kind of document, which browser and device. That is enough to reproduce almost everything.
What to expect
Messages are read during ordinary working hours and answered as quickly as we can. This is a free tool with a small team behind it, so replies are not instant.
What is worth reporting
A tool that stopped part-way, a result that looks wrong, a page that does not work in your browser, a control you could not reach with a keyboard or a screen reader, and a sentence on this site that is untrue. Questions about what a tool does and does not do belong here too.
What to put in the message
Name the page and the tool, the browser and its version, and the device. Say what you expected and what happened instead. Copy any error text exactly as it appears. If it only happens with some documents, describe the kind of document, such as a scan, a form or a long report, and the number of pages.
Do not attach the document and do not paste text from it. This site never receives your files, and a message is the one place where they could reach us, so leave them out.
Corrections
If a page states something that is wrong, a number, a limit, a browser requirement or a description of what a tool does, write to the address above and name the page. A claim that turns out to be wrong is corrected or removed. Claims about what a tool does are recorded with their supporting evidence in the site's claims ledger, which the About page describes.
Privacy questions
Because documents stay in your browser, there is no copy of one on a server to delete or export. The page-view counter records the address of a page and no identifier, and the privacy page lists every request this site makes. If something there is unclear, ask here.
What to expect back
A reply names what was reproduced and what was not. It will not ask for the document. Replies are not instant, as the note above says, and a message that arrives with the details listed here is the quickest to act on.
