    What this tool does, exactly

    What it does
Puts your images into one PDF in the order you set. JPEG and PNG data is embedded exactly as it is, with no re-encoding and no loss.
    What gets converted
WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP and HEIC are re-encoded once as high-quality JPEG, and only if your browser can decode them. HEIC generally works on iPhone and iPad and generally does not elsewhere. Anything unreadable is named in the result rather than quietly dropped.
    Ordering
The arrows move a page up or down and are ordinary buttons, so they work with a thumb, a mouse and a keyboard alike. There is no drag handle to miss.

    About this tool

    Which image formats work?

JPEG and PNG are embedded exactly as they are, with no re-encoding and no loss. WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP and HEIC are converted to JPEG first if your browser can decode them — HEIC generally works on iPhone and iPad and generally does not elsewhere. Anything that cannot be read is named in the result rather than silently dropped.

What does “Match each image” do?

It gives every page the same shape as its image, so nothing is cropped and there are no margins. Choose A4 or US Letter instead when the file has to print or match other paperwork; the image is then centered and scaled to fit.

    Will the quality drop?

Not for JPEG and PNG: those bytes go into the document untouched. Converted formats are re-encoded once as high-quality JPEG, and very large photos are scaled down to keep the file openable on a phone.

Can I add a photo taken right now?

Yes. On a phone, tapping the drop zone opens the camera roll and the camera, because the file input is a native one.
