Will the Word file look like my PDF?
No, and no honest converter can promise that. You get the words, the reading order and the structure — headings, lists, tables, bold and italic — as editable Word content. Fonts, colours, spacing, columns, headers and footers are not reproduced. If you need the appearance rather than the text, keep the PDF.
Why did my scanned document produce nothing?
Because a scan is a picture of text, not text. There are no characters in the file to convert, and no converter can recover a character that was never there. Reading letters out of an image needs OCR, which this tool does not do. It names the pages instead of handing you an empty .docx.
Are the headings real Word headings?
Yes — they use Word's own Heading 1 to Heading 6 styles, so the navigation pane and the table of contents work. Which lines are headings is inferred from type size, weight and position, because a PDF never records that something is a heading. It is usually right; check it before you rely on it.
What about images in the PDF?
They are not carried over. The images in a PDF are positioned by the page description rather than anchored to text, so placing them in a flowing Word document would be a guess about where they belong. They are left out and said to be left out.
Does the file carry my name?
No. Every author field the format allows to be empty is written empty. One field cannot be: Word's own document properties always record the moment a file was written, which is what Word itself does — and the file never leaves your device anyway.
